The mission of the Apace Foundation, previously Region V Foundation, is to support and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in Nebraska. Family Health Services, Inc.
Family Health Services is a nonprofit healthcare organization that serves people in nine southeast Nebraska counties. We are passionate about helping Nebraskans maintain a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families! One part of our purpose is to ensure the reproductive and sexual health of every individual by offering confident and caring exams, treatment, and prevention at a low cost. Our providers are available Monday-Friday for preventative health exams, cervical cancer screening (PAP test), breast cancer screening, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, all contraceptive methods (including emergency contraception), pregnancy testing and colposcopy procedures. We offer these services, and more, in a professional and caring environment that aims to keep you comfortable while staying affordable. More than half of the 1,500 patients that Family Health Services cares for every year are uninsured or underinsured which qualifies them for free or reduced-price services. The clinic also accepts most private insurance, Medicaid and Every Woman Matters. We believe everyone should have access to reproductive and sexual healthcare regardless of ability to pay. We have locations in Lincoln and Tecumseh, Nebraska, and provide clinics once or twice a month in Beatrice, Peru, and Crete. Another critical part of our programming is outreach and sexual health education reaching 3,000 individuals every year. By promoting health education at your organization you’re doing your part to make sure our communities are making informed, healthier decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. In addition, another piece of our purpose is to support the nutritional health of Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Fresh Start Home
Fresh Start is a transitional program for women experiencing homelessness. They live in our home for up to one year, during which time they participate in a holistic case management and advocacy program. We provide an environment where they can feel empowered, and accountable, to the changes they want to make in their lives. The Nebraska Writers Collective fosters self-empowerment and builds community through creative writing and performance poetry. The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults
The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults' mission is to provide unconditional support and programming for young people as they become productive, independent, and active members of the community. The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults was founded over 20 years ago based on the needs of youth/young adults in the Lincoln community that were making the transition to adulthood with little to no concrete support system. The HUB serves unconnected youth/young adults ages 14-24. Unconnected youth are defined as young adults who are living without permanent family support and have any of the following lived experience: pregnant/parenting, homeless or near homeless, foster care, juvenile probation, runaway or human trafficking/exploitation or are unconnected from their family of origin for any reason. The HUB has focused programming support and services in the areas of education, employment, and empowerment.

The Northeast Family Center
